This animation was a semester-long project, with the final four weeks dedicated to the implementation of model design, rigging, animation, UV mapping, camera design, and post-production. Working as a team of five, we divided our responsibilities to create a short film about a mushroom protagonist who emerges from a magical fairy circle in the ground. Believing that a series of fortunate events have granted him magical powers and convinced that fairy circles serve as gateways to the spiritual realm, he declares himself a wizard. Joined by his new friend, Flora, he goes on a mission to help the community with his supposed powers. Along the way, he learns that not everything can be solved with magic, and that sometimes, the support of friends is the key to overcoming challenges.

At 2.5 minutes long, this animation served as a valuable exercise to hone our skills in Maya and deepen our understanding of the core principles of animation.
